Background: Donna Renae Garrett was the only child of Cynthia and Raymond Garrett. Donna's parents were members of the middle class in a city called Crystal Bay. Donna was a smart young girl with big dreams. She graduated high school at the top of her class and was planning to attend college until she met Franklin Johnson. Frank Johnson was a smooth talking, handsome young man who pursued Donna until she finally gave in. The two dated for 2 years and got married in 2004 when Donna was 20 years old. Two years later, Donna gave birth to the couple's first child, Kinsley Johnson. Donna had worked a couple of part-time jobs up until this point. Frank decided it was more important that Donna be a mother to Kinsley and so from her birth, Donna became a stay at home mother. Eight years later, Donna once again became pregnant and gave birth to the couple's second and last child, Brian Johnson. Donna's parents would only see their grandson once because shortly after his birth, Cynthia and Raymond Garrett were killed in a plane crash on their way to a vacation in Takezimu Village. Donna's life would soon be touch by another tragedy when, in 2018, her husband of 14 years was killed in a car accident. While Franklin worked hard to provide for his family, none of his jobs were full time and there was little in the form of insurance to help Donna support her two kids. She toughed it out in Crystal Bay for five years before picking up her family and moving to Englewood in LaQuest Beach. She joined the military at the age of 38. Shortly after moving to Englewood, Donna met DeJuan Foster and the two dated for 6 years before getting married in 2029. DeJuan had one child, daughter Taesha Foster, and the two combined their families and bought a house in Talum Heights. Donna now lives with DeJuan, his daughter and her boyfriend Gordon Nott, their daughter Lyria and her boxer mix Gyzer.
