Welcome

I decided to start this blog in addition to my LaQuest Beach blog so that I don't clog up the hood blog with all my randomness :). This is still a sim related blog, but more of the behind the scenes. I may link posts from this blog to the main blog if I feel they are important and I'll put them in the comments section of one of the posts. I'm going through and deleting all posts from the LaQuest Beach blog that aren't updates to make it easier for new folks to follow the craziness that are my stories :). So welcome to my chaos!

Tales of Vasadori: The Aldaos Family

This is the home of the Aldaos family. I want Vasadori to be very colorful with lots of flowers so most of the lots that I build will look like this. They are a family of dark elves but are very nice. This fact mostly comes from the matriarch of the family, Amariel. She believed that as dark elves it was their job to exemplify the power and strength that they all had, to show the realm that not all dark elves were evil and out of control. She was killed in the last civil war.

Her death left Revion Aldaos to take care of their two sons alone. Revion is good friends with Gurth Vasan and supports his fight to have his bloodline returned to the throne. He was hoping that Gurth would agree to match his daughter up with Revion's oldest son, but the elders squashed that idea before it was even fully formed.

Turin Aldaos barely remembers his mother and has never known Vasadori outside of the condition it is currently in. He loves to hear his father's stories of the past.

Durion Aldaos doesn't understand what the big deal is. The new queen was still a baby, they would all be so much older than her. Not that it mattered. His dad wanted him to marry her and become the king. Durion had no desire to do such a thing. Luckily, the elders had an issue with it and had already decided who would be Arwen's husband. He was just excited to attend Paerolia and couldn't wait until he found out what his position would be. They had all been hand picked to form the royal court.

Quick shot of the living room. All the houses in Vasadori will use candles for light, so some of the pics may be a bit dark.

The Aldaos family prays to the Earth Elder Glandur. This is the alter they use. I'm going to put an alter in each house. I think I got these from parsimonious. They had one for each element which worked out perfectly.

And that's the Aldaos family. It may be a little while before I post another one of these as I don't know when I'll take the time to create the next family and their home.

  1. I'm in awe of this whole world and mythology you're creating for Vasadori. Seriously impressive!

I wonder what Revion's feelings are on Durion being out of the running to marry Gurth's daughter.

  2. Wow. You. Are. So. Creative! I'd never be able to think up something this detailed and original! The house is beautiful, decorated perfectly to suit the story you are trying to tell.

Hmmm... I wonder who our future queen is arranged to marry?

  3. Carla - Thanks! I'm having to go a bit further with this than I did with Peragama because its getting it's own story. There's so much to do! But if I break it down and do it little by little, it doesn't seem so bad lol. Arwen's arranged marriage is going to be a very large part of the plot of the story so I don't want to say too much, but I will say that while Gurth got his way, the elders did give him some stipulations on what he and Arwen would be allowed to do.

Coolkat2 - Thank you so much! It's been a bit hard finding furniture and stuff that goes along with what I have pictured in my head for Vasadori.
